11 Months Old!!

I cannot believe that Eden is almost 1 year old!  Of course, I will post another general update on her birthday, but I wanted to write one now simply because she is doing and saying so many things.  

Here is a list of all the things that Eden is saying:

Eden is also a very busy baby -- always doing something, she is never content to just sit still.  She is very curious and loves to explore things.  She seems to have boundless energy.  She is a very fast crawler, but she also loves to be held.  Eden has taken a couple of steps, but not quite walking yet.  She loves her mama and dada, and definitely prefers women to men.  In fact, she really doesn't like any men aside from her dad and papa (we hope she stays like this...at least until she is 21).  She loves eating meat, cheese, and yogurt.  She doesn't really like fruit or vegetables, but there are a few that she tolerates.  Eden weighs 21+ lbs now, and is definitely starting to trim down a bit.  This has been a really fun month with Eden.  I keep wondering how it can get any better, and yet she seems to just get cuter and more fun with each passing month.

Eden's Favorite Things

One of Eden's favorite things is to push the button on this toy, wait for our reaction, and dance to the music.  Very cute.  Also, she gets the biggest kick out of feeding her food to Rula (which she knows that she's not supposed to do).  This is what's cracking her up so much in the second video.

Walking on West Cliff

Believe it or not, this was the very first time that we took Eden walking on West Cliff.  Both she and Rula had a great time.

Eden's First Steps

Eden took her first steps while I was filming this video.  You have to watch closely, but she takes two quick steps toward her toy.  Eden didn't know she did it.  Nana and I were amazed.

Visit from Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa visited us over Labor Day weekend when Eden's school was shut down for a week.  Nana took care of Eden during the week, and it was a great time for them to spend some time together.  She taught Eden lots of different words and all sorts of other things.  All this time, I thought that Eden was just a little baby blob.  Little did I know that she had the capability to learn. 

Here are some examples of what she learned:  

Commands:  "Go get your froggy and give it to Nana," "Dance," "Bounce," "Push the Button"

Recognition:  Bear, Doggie, Ball, Giraffe, Butterflies, Rula, Sheep, Head, Tongue
