Nine Months Old!

Wow!  9 months old!  This past month has been the most exciting yet.  Eden is into everything.  Now that she is mobile, she wants to explore.  And now that she's standing, she wants to pull herself up onto everything that she can reach.  She is, in fact, a climber and loves to climb up dressers and bookshelves.  The result of all this is that she is a walking disaster zone and an injury waiting to happen.  Despite the head bumps, she is happy and barely cries.  She is pretty much happy and smiley all the time.  She loves playing with her toys, practicing walking in her walker, and making new noises with her hands (banging) and with her mouth (lots of baby talk).  Eden now weighs 19lbs 7 oz, and measures 28.25 inches long -- almost 8 inches more than when she was born. 

Favorite Toy, Clapping and Standing

This is Eden's favorite toy right now.  You have to stand up to play with it, which is one of the reasons why she loves it.  In fact, Eden tries to climb up and stand using just about anything that she can get her hands on -- usually walls and dressers.  This has already resulted in quite a few bumps and bruises on her head, but she is getting better at it.  One thing that she loves to do is to show off her ability to stand and clap at the same time.  Funny girl.

I'm going to miss this smile now that Eden's top teeth are coming in.

Video at the Beach

First time at the beach

Eden went to the beach for the first time in San Diego.  This is funny considering that we live so close to the beach.  In any case, she loved it!  She was completely fascinated by the sand and seaweed.  She kept picking it up and letting it slide through her fingers.  I had to keep a pretty close eye on her to make sure that she didn't eat the sand.  If she hadn't been sick, I'm sure that we would have stayed for hours.

Happy 4th of July!

Visit from the Gilbert Crew

Theresa, Donnie and the kids came out to visit for the 4th of July weekend.  We had a great time hanging out with them.  Eden had a ton of fun playing with Grant and Ava.  We hung out around the house, BBQ'd, and had our own 4th of July fireworks show in the backyard.  Here are some pictures from the weekend:

The other blog charged some hefty fees, so it was time to make the switch.  This will be Eden's permanent blog site.  Hopefully, I'll be able to transfer the other blog to this one.
