Trying to Crawl

Walking...sorta

Eden always seems to take a giant step forward when we go home. This time, Aunt Theresa and Uncle Donnie got a walker for her. After a couple of days of practice, and with the encouragement of her favorite toy (an empty water bottle), Eden actually started to walk.

How do I have an 8-month old baby?

Oh, my baby is already 8 months old!!  I can’t believe it.  She has changed and developed so much over the past 1-2 months.  Here are some of the things that she’s been up to lately:

• Found her tongue and loves to stick it out at you
• Likes to blow air out of the side of her mouth and through the front, like she’s whistling.  I think that she likes the noise that it makes.
• Enjoys her solid foods!!  Eden can go through 2 jars of baby food per day.  She likes pretty much all flavors of baby food now, and she also likes baby oatmeal.  She doesn’t like any baby food that we make for her, and she doesn’t like any adult foods yet (avocados or bananas).
• Has learned how to clap.  It’s so cute — I am trying to get some video of it.
• Is almost crawling.  She gets up on all fours and rocks, and can commando crawl.
• Still loves to scream
• Loves to be outside.  She is fascinated by the the things around her and loves to look up at the trees and sky.
• All around adorable and cute.  She is so spoiled with attention from mom and dad.

Baby Talk

New Tricks

Eden’s been learning all sorts of new things lately.  She just learned how to stick out her tongue.  Here she is doing it while trying to figure out how to crawl.

Father’s Day Tribute

The Art of Rolling Over

Eden has finally mastered rolling over. She’s been able to do it for a while now, but it was hard for her given her massive head and big belly. She’s finally strong enough to roll and it’s become her mode for getting around and grabbing toys on the floor. I guess this is stage one of her becoming mobile.

New Sounds

Eden’s newest thing is breathing really hard through her nose. I think she likes the sound that it makes.

Screamer

Eden loves to scream. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
